The Congress logo is based on an original work by Queensland artist Arone Meeks. Named “Gathering”, the logo’s ring is a bora meeting place where people will come together to have their say through the Congress.

The three hands represent our different communities and the elements of our families – elders, men, women and youth. They are also our personal signatures as they were stenciled for thousands of years by our peoples. They are a strong and enduring mark of our connection to country as Australia’s First Peoples.

The orange background within the bora reflects earth and country, surrounded by the blue water of our rivers and the sea.
