NOMINATIONS

Delegates
The first annual meeting of the National Congress took place in Sydney from 07-09 June 2011.
The National Congress meeting is made up of three chambers with 40 delegates in each chamber.
National Congress meetings will prioritise issues that the Congress will advocate for on behalf of our members – Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islanders from across the country.
To be one of the Delegates, organisations and individuals needed to nominate by February 11th 2011. Nominees are members of the Congress. To be able to nominate for future meetings you must submit a membership application.

Congress Co-Chairs Nominations
Nominations have closed for the first election of the two Congress Co-Chairs.
Each and every Congress member has the right to nominate to stand for the male or female positions.
All members who were accepted or applied for membership by February 11th 2011, will also directly vote for these positions.
