CONGRESS LETTER TO PARLIAMENTARY HUMAN RIGHTS COMMITTEE RELEASED
The Chairman of the Joint Committee on Human Rights, Labor MP Harry Jenkins has told parliament that the Committee had received correspondence from Congress asking the Committee to examine the Stronger Futures bills for compatibility with human rights under Section 7(a) of the Human Rights (Parliamentary Scrutiny) Act (2011). The Committee requested a response from the Minister.
